“Definitely the best public speaking course I have been on”

Sarah Dixon, NHS

In an age of over-information, you have to do something special to make your message stand out. If you want to be heard, it's not enough to just send more emails, or improve your social media - you have to engage and inspire on a human level.

There's no more effective way to influence people, hour-for-hour, than standing up and speaking from the heart.

The Ginger Public Speaking programme takes you on a journey from the foundations of public speaking, to becoming an expert, inspiring speaker. The first step in this journey looks at the foundations of your public speaking performance.

Led by author & public speaking expert, Sarah Lloyd-Hughes, the first programme in this series will teach you the tools of the trade for any presenter to be successful. Ideal for beginners and improvers who would like to brush up on the essentials, we investigate your body, voice and mind and how they affect your public speaking performance.

WARNING: This course is highly practical. Come ready to get involved and expect to take away methods you can put into practice straight away.

By the end of this course you will have:

-       Challenged yourself in a supportive and energising environment

-       Understood the key parts of your current public speaking that are holding you back and replaced them with water-tight public speaking technique.

-       Learned how to use your Body and Vocal qualities to engage and inspire your audience

-       Cut out the basic habits and mistakes that make audiences cringe

-       Learned how to use the tools of your trade to make your presentation not only look   proficient, but stand out from those around you

-       Swapped your fear and nerves for brave, authentic speaking.

-       Developed a host of ideas about how to engage and inspire an audience.

What people say...

Mel Kenny – IFA, Radcliffe & Newlands

As a reasonable speaker that could do with some training I attended the Ginger Training & Coaching public speaking course hoping to up my game a notch. Whilst public speaking is supposed to be the number one fear, Sarah’s endearing, energetic and fun style draws you in and motivates you to improve. She has an impressive sense of organisation about her, her workshops are innovative, charming and very useful. I have no hestitation in recommending Sarah and her ability to improve your presentation technques.

Steve Allott – Managing Director, ElectroMind Ltd

As an experienced speaker, I started working with Sarah to help me in three aspects of my business life: conference presentations, networking and training delivery. Her workshops and 1-2-1 sessions have vastly improved my ability to speak to large groups of very technical people, to be a smooth ‘Master of Ceremonies’ at conferences and to deliver short and sharp ‘elevator speeches’ at networking events.

Since Sarah was involved I have moved my performance up a league. Sarah has provided me with tools to help overcome just about any problem I may encounter with public speaking – skills which have ultimately led to more business.  Sarah is unique because she really listens to her customers, gets to know what they want and delivers a really personal experience, which moves your speaking abilities forward at a pace you can cope with and enjoy.
